ThEx AWARD 2024
PlayInsight Studios has been nominated for an Award!
In the course of our application for the start-up bonus, we learnt that there is also an award that is presented to anyone who has founded or wants to found a company with the help of ThEx. who have founded or want to found a company with the help of ThEx. So we also applied for this in parallel with the start-up bonus.
On 29. September, we received the news that our application was successful and that we were selected as one of the top 10 in the GRÜNDEN (founding) category. This category is primarily intended to recognise the youngest founders who want to take off with a special idea and vision. Now we just had to give a 3-minute pitch in front of a jury that would ultimately decide whether we could win something. In it, we once again introduced ourselves – PlayInsight Studios – and our idea. Then we had to wait and see.
The award ceremony – the tension mounts
On 19. November the time had come. A little bit dressed up and slightly nervous, we got together around 4 pm to go to the award ceremony at the IHK Erfurt. Once there, there was a small champagne reception and we met our colleagues from Stepheight, who are also based in the gaming sector. It didn’t take long for everyone to gather in the hall, where it was time to get down to business.
There were three main categories in total: GRÜNDEN (founding), NACHFOLGEN (follow-up) and DURCHSTARTEN (get started). There was also the IMPULSGEBERIN (source of inspiration) category and a brand new special prize for YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS. And it has to be said, each category presented exciting people with great ideas. We were kept on tenterhooks for some time, as our category was the last to go. Our hopes were high and our pulses were racing as the top 3 were announced one by one.
Unfortunately, we didn’t make it into the top 3 in the end, but that wasn’t all for the evening, as all nominees in the top 10 received a small motivational prize of €1000 as a little surprise!
Aftershow Get-together
Even after the award ceremony, the evening was not over. Afterwards, there was still time to enjoy the creative and delicious buffet at a get-together with good music or to network with other entrepreneurs and those who want to become entrepreneurs.
